CMA Regional Event – Pacific Northwest

Pack your bags—and your passport—for a special cross-country edition of the Cabinet Makers Association (CMA) Regional Event, happening June 19-20, 2025! This unique two-day event brings woodworking professionals together for a powerhouse lineup of education, networking, shop tours, and hands-on demos—stretching from Lynden, Washington to Canada.

Day One – Thursday, June 19

We’ll start the event at K&S Woodworks in Lynden, WA, the shop of CMA member Kolin Veldman, for a full day of learning, collaboration, and behind-the-scenes access. As a customer of all participating vendors, Kolin and his team will give attendees an authentic, practical perspective on the tools and systems that power their shop.

Here’s what you can expect:

• Dominic Rubino of the Cabinet Maker Profit System Podcast will be speaking on business and profitability strategies.

• SurfPrep will be onsite with Adam West, leading a sanding demo and education session on K&S’s brand-new Heesemann HSM.4 53" wide belt sander, plus a live demonstration of their sanding cobot.

• Stiles Machinery has confirmed attendance and will bring a technician to answer questions and showcase capabilities on sanding, edge banding, and dowel boring equipment.

• INNERGY will deliver a high-level overview of their ERP software, focusing on how it can streamline operations and help shops scale more efficiently.

All of this will be wrapped into a full-access open shop event—giving you the chance to engage with equipment, ask questions, and get real-world feedback from the K&S team.

Day Two – Friday, June 20

We’re heading north for an international experience with a tour of Sofo Kitchens in Canada, just 45 minutes from Lynden. Sofo Kitchens is known for its modern design sensibility, process efficiency, and commitment to high-end craftsmanship. This exclusive tour is a chance to see how a leading Canadian shop runs at scale.
