Colorado Cabinet Makers is a small custom cabinet shop located in Loveland, Colorado.  James & Tracey, the owners, handle the business and design while 10 talented and dedicated woodworkers make sawdust in the shop. They do most of our own installations to keep quality control of the projects. Very little is outsourced while creating a wide variety of quality residential cabinetry and millwork. James has been a member of the Cabinet Makers Association for many years.

Describe your project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.

Our returning customer, Maybell in Loveland, Colorado was adding a main level en-suite guestroom addition to their home and wanted a European/Scandinavian blonde wood feel. The budget did not allow for the more expensive blonde woods such as European steamed beech so a cost-effective northwest alternative rustic knotty alder was selected. A bisque colored stain achieved the look they were after. The room features a full custom paneled T&G ceiling, ridge beam and wood accent wall for a TV. A full wall of custom cabinetry served as a wardrobe and dresser system. The wardrobe interiors feature Haefle closet rods with recessed LED strip lighting that is auto-on when the doors are opened. The built in niche provides a landing and charging station. Recessed LED puck lights make a good night light. LED up-lighting was installed behind the crown moulding trimming the coffer on four sides of the room. A matching T&G barn door provides access to the adjoined bathroom. All in all this little room has more wood trimmings, millwork and cabinetry than you can shake a stick at!
